Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 4 February 2026 – Today branding and marketing solutions specialist company, SBS Nexus Berhad (“SBS Nexus” or the “Company”; Stock Name: SBS and Stock Code: 0386), officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the National Cancer Society of Malaysia (“NCSM”). This MOU is to collaborate with NCSM on the Lung Shield Programme by integrating Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and entrepreneur engagement while advocating on public health agenda. This initiative aims to mobilise the corporate sector to increase lung cancer awareness and to advocate for the prevention and early screening of lung cancer through various community outreach programmes.
Amongst the key areas, both parties agreed to collaborate on the promotion and implementation of the Lung Shield Programme, as listed below:
I. SBS Nexus to promote the Lung Shield Programme as part of its CSR and ESG advocacy initiatives.
II. SBS Nexus to engage and mobilise entrepreneurs, corporate partners, and business leaders to participate in Lung Shield–related CSR activities, such as screenings, awareness campaigns, and fundraising efforts.
III. Co-organising CSR activities, community engagement programmes, forums, and campaigns related to lung health and cancer prevention.
IV. SBS Nexus to provide branding, media exposure, digital marketing, and publicity support for the Lung Shield Programme through its platforms and networks.
V. NCSM to provide programme credibility, medical expertise, and implementation support for Lung Shield–related initiatives.
SBS Nexus’s Managing Director cum Chief Executive Officer, Mr Wong Chun Mun, commented, “One of the key collaboration highlights is SBS Nexus is appointed as NCSM’s strategic partner to promote and expand the Lung Shield Programme through our corporate and business networks. One of our roles in this programme is to recruit a minimum of 10 companies to become the programme wellness ambassadors while participating in this CSR-driven initiative. The 10 wellness ambassadors recruited by us will play an active role in promoting lung health awareness, hold public education,
and encourage greater community engagement to highlight the danger of lung cancer disease.”

Mr Wong added, “This wellness ambassador model is a unique corporate-driven initiative in supporting the national health agenda. It also signifies a good example of public-private collaboration involving non-profit organisation, corporate sectors, and governments in demonstrating meaningful ESG execution with measurable social impact. All the corporations are strongly encouraged to step forward to support this Malaysia’s national public health agenda under the guidance of the Ministry of Health for the benefit of those lower income and underprivileged Malaysia citizens.”
